The Prologue: An Unexpected Opening

Our story began with a simple scroll and a local profile that caught my eye. Don’s bio mentioned he was "looking for friends"—and since I was firmly in my "just friends" era, it felt right to say hello. After a few messages (and a little bit of my signature impatience), I sent him a note: "Welcome back to Muskogee; if you ever want to hang out, message me."

That single message turned into a long, unforgettable conversation on the porch, and the rest is history. Don didn’t just win my heart; he completely won over my children and grandchildren, quickly becoming the gentle, patient anchor our family needed. (And let's be honest, he deserves a medal for keeping up with us!)

Chapter One: Partners in Crime & Endless Projects

The last six months have been a beautiful, whirlwind blur of laughter and adventure. Whether we are laughing our way through bowling nights, drifting lazily down the river, or acting like big kids ourselves, we make everything a blast. Last summer, we took our show on the road for an unforgettable vacation to Tennessee. We made memories all over Chattanooga—marveling at the magic of Rock City, monkeying around at the zoo, and splashing like crazy at the water parks.

When we aren't out exploring, we are busy at home. I am famous for my sudden bursts of "creative vision," which usually means a never-ending list of DIY projects. Don is the ultimate sport—no matter how wild or chaotic my next idea is, he jumps right in to help me bring it to life. He truly is my partner in crime, and there is no one else I'd rather build things with (just to move them again next week).

Chapter Two: A Million Times Yes

Looking back, April 17, 2026, was the easiest day of my life. Don asked me to spend forever with him, and my "yes" was a word I would eagerly shout a million times over without a single hesitation. He truly loves every single page of my story—from my rapid-fire conversations to my constant urge to rearrange the entire house.

He honors my past while beautifully helping to build our future, holding me steady on the hard days and keeping a smile on my face every single day. We have both known heartache, but together, we are writing a brand-new story rooted in healing, goofy laughter, and deep love. We cannot wait to celebrate the start of this next chapter with you on February 27, 2027, in Muskogee.
